AllUsers Chumbley, Jeff $0 reads NetWare bindery and displays all object ID's and associated identification including last login date and time. ArcCard ARCnet $0 are Novell workstation shell drivers for Thomas-Conrad ARCnet boards. Encompass 2.8 (ENCOMPS) Multiuser Microsystems $35-$50 is a DOS menu program that works well for multi-user systems. It has Lotus-style menu bars with submenus and editable menu files. It is not a memory resident program and password protection for selections is provided. Mouse support and screen blanking are also included. Go-Com $0 allows you to run a batch file from within a Novell Login Script. LANTools 1.23 (LANTOOL) Sarasin, Gary S. $25 is a NetBIOS LAN utility that allows you to send and receive messages, do remote monitoring of other PCs, take remote control of another PC keyboard and screen, display adapter status of workstations, trace NetBIOS calls, and do file transfers. It uses about 83k and runs as a TSR; requires DOS 2.0 or greater, and NetBIOS. LockChk Lerman Associates $10 is a Symphony add-in that indicates if someone else is using the worksheet and has locked it. MeatHook Network Share Utility 2.00 (MH) Graham, Keith P. $0 controls sharing options on networks. NetBak 2.4 D & D Software Inc. $40 lets you perform an unattended backup of a Novell file server without sacrificing system security. Rather than having to leave a workstation set up with the supervisor logged on, NetBak does not log on the supervisor until the backup begins and then logs off. NetComm 1.2 Vanator, James R. $20 is a TSR that allow simple message sending and receipt across a NETBIOS network. Messages can either be sent to everyone on the network or privately. Takes 21k of RAM. A companion program, LogName, checks every two minutes and keeps track of who is currently running NetComm. PassCom (PASSCO) Kiley, Kevin $10 allows sharing of a serial device, such as a modem, among PCs. It works by taking all characters received on COM1 or COM2 and sending them back out through the opposite port. Works best for an internal modem; may not work for other devices that depend on signals like CD, RTS or CTS. Phonet is a phone messaging system for LAN-based users. ShopTalk 1.0 Software Craftsmen $45 is a three-person TSR chat program for any NETBIOS network. Pop it up, call somebody else, chat with them, pop it back down. Requires 8K or 12K of RAM. XChange Fax/Lan Toolkit 1.5 (XFAX) Commtech International, Inc. $89 is a LAN Fax driver utility. You can use it to integrate fax capability into any of your current applications or simply to access your fax board from the DOS command line. It lets you buy one fax board and give everyone on the network access to it. ArcDiag 2.2 Olympic Software Co. $45 is a diagnostic tool for ARCnet type hardware. The program exercises the testing all of the card's internal functions, and more. ARCShell $0 helps cure addressing/interrupt conflicts with the SMC ARCnet and the Novell Advanced Netware Shell ANET2, ANET3. Avail $0 lists those drive letters which are available for mapping. C and assembler source code is included. Balance Schwab, Tim $0 displays network account balances and credit limits. Output can be redirected and account balances can optionally be reset to zero. Bindarc 1.0 Chumbley, Jeff $0 archives the bindery files for NetWare v2.1x or v3.x to files that can be copied or backed up using normal procedures. Chatter 1.0 Fisher, Kevin $30 is a more convenient way to communicate with someone on the network than using the SEND command. ChkUser Protech Computer Systems, Inc. $0 displays disk utilization statistics for each user such as the ID, files open, directories, and total disk space. A handy utility that is easy to use. DateSys J.M. Allen Creations $10 allows network users to request the date and time from the network server. Db-Test 1.0 Scott Taylor, Scott $? evaluates network performance in a variety of database access operations. DLL $0 contains "C" libraries and associated header files for the following: print, queue, Netware and IPX calls, and Netware errors. Dumpuser 1.1 (DUMPUSR) Sherman, David J. $10 dumps out the current user file so the Novell Make User program can recreate the file on a new server. Electronic Mail 2000 (EM2000) AlarmSoft $30-$50 is a simple email system. Features include easy setup of mail boxes, optional password protection for each box, file locking, message searching and printing options. Deleted messages can be moved to a History file before completely deleting. EM2000 can also be used by a single, non-network user to keep messages for others. FTB Alloy Computer Products, Inc. $0 is a 30k TSR that shows the files and devices opened by the current user. It works with or without NTNX and shows information on non-shared drives. Receive Goldner, Doug $15 is a 30K TSR which handles incoming messages sent via the Novell SEND command. All unauthorized attempts as well as the times of the attempts are automatically displayed when the correct password is entered. Iprint Auphelle, Philippe $0 is a subset of NPRINT for 2.1x Netware. It was developed to correct some bugs in Netware printing utilities. Keepout Manning, John $0 prevents simultaneous access to a given file for those applications that do not work with Novell Holdon Supervisor, such as Lotus 1-2-3, Rel. 2. Limituse (LIMITUS) Routson, Bob $0 allows you to place most single user software on a network and limit the number of users to one. C source code is included. Localize (LOCALIZ) $0 allows a user to recover access to a RAM disk set up on a remote reset terminal after he is logged into the network. NetBeast (NETBST) $0 is a network version of the game Beast. Multiple players move around a large scrolling field, crushing Beasts by pushing blocks into them. NetChat 1.0 Automated Digital Offices Corporation $25 allows up to eight network users to communicate in real time, across the network. Multi-user sessions on public as well as private chanels are permitted. NetMap Artefact $0 lets you create a floor plan of Netware installations, facilitating movement between nodes, devices, etc. Novell's Advanced Netware version 2.0A or higher is required. NewNode Diehl, Jeffrey $0 sets ERRORLEVEL to the node (physical) address of a workstation. This can be very useful in batch files to determine what should be done when a particular workstation runs a network batch file. Ninfo 1.02 Hejlsberg, Thomas $25 makes it possible to back up all information from a Novell volume using a backup-program without specific Novell support. It restores important information typically lost during the restore process, such as Trustees, file attributes, creation dates, etc. Netware 2.15 or higher is required. Scopy Kevin Porter $0 allows copying of non-exclusive, open network files. C source code is included. Spy 1.3 (SPYEXE) Floyd, Edwin T. $0 permits you to view the on-screen activity of a remote networked PC, using NetBios. You can also put keys into the remote's keyboard buffer. SrvrDt Khalsa, Gurujees $0 gets the date and time from the server. This version supports OS/2 only, but the C source is included and could be modified for use in DOS. Ulsort James M. Curran $0 gives a fast sorted (by name or station) USERLIST. C source include. If left running, the list will be updated every 10 seconds. Users Schwab, Tim $0 lists users logged on, along with the time and date of log-in, the number of files each connection has open (this was wrong in testing on our system), the location, and the number of request packets the connection has sent to the server since login (also wrong on our system - Netware 386). Up to 15 machines can be connected to one machine via serial ports. The software driver on the main machine takes less than 5k of RAM. The LPT1 port of each satellite machine is redirected to the main machine's LPT1; any other printer ports are unaffected. CNFGLS $0 is for tuning the IBM Lan Server 1.3. It includes an Excel spreadsheet and Lotus 3.0/G spreadsheet template. (Excel or Lotus required.) Lanalyse 2.0 (LANALYS) EbSoft $20 allows you to remotely monitor the various status information provided by NETBIOS. LanScan 1.00E Lavoie, Ron $10 provides quick access to real-time information on local and network hard drives. It scans all possible hard drives, C: through Z:, and reports statistics. The main display provides a quick "gauge" of used and available space. The Detail Grid provides additional disk statistics, such as total disk capacity, available space, total clusters, free clusters, bytes per cluster, and more. This should work on all networking systems. NetUPD Saul, Thomas C. $50 allows the network/PC administrator to update files on user workstations. It will not place a file on a disk where it didn't previously exist. NFiles Hartman, Richard L. $0 provides a complete list of all files being charged to a user with a single command. PC-Access 1.0 (PCACCES) Star Dot C Software $4 provides easy access to files centrally stored on a LAN. It allows you to establish a list of users, each with a certain space allotment. The program will check the shared disk against the list, and will report violators. ELogon $0 allows login to Novell servers with encrypted passwords. TP source code included. FF3 1.20a Spear, P. $0 is a file finder and delete utility for networks. C source is included. You can search the whole disk or start at current directory and work down. You can elect to have it delete files with by-file confirmation optional. IdleBoot 1.42E (IDLBOOT) Horizons Consulting $32 is a 2K TSR that removes idle workstations from a network and resets unattended machines to insure that they are operating correctly. NovBat 1.36 Horizons Consulting $102 is a Novell Netware batch file enhancement utility. Over 50 netware-oriented commands aid in the development of powerful login scripts and batch files. PrintCop 1.9 (PRINTCO) JLP Computer Enterprises Corporation $22-$27 allows LAN managers to customize network printing requirements for one user and copy that information for a group of users rather than one user at a time. E-Scan 1.00 Koneceny, Don $0 tells you the manufacturer of the Ethernet network interface card in the current workstation. LANMenu 2.03 Hass, Jim ASP $31 is a network menu and security system. It features password protection, telephone dialer, on-line help, built-in network support, mouse support, screen blanker, 10,000 menu entries, macros and menu action functions. LANScan 1.3 Lowe, Chris $5 automates the process of scanning local drives on a network for viruses. It can be used to schedule almost anything that can run from a batch file. LiteSPC 3.1 Information Technology Ltd. ASP $18 captures to disk any data received on COM1 and/or COM2. It allows you to continue to work while it logs data in the background from machines, lab equipment, telephone systems or anything that outputs serial data. Mail2 1.92 Cobblestone Software $39 allows you to send files to cc:Mail from the DOS command-line. U-Net II 2.2 (U-NET) Supa Corporation $40 is a server/workstation based network. It networks any two PC's using parallel ports and concurrently shares the host or server computer's hard disk drive and printer. Requires 640K and a hard disk. Specifications are provided for making the cable needed to connect the computers. ZeppeLAN 1.0 (ZEPPLAN) Contact Plus Corp. $95 contains several applications for networks, including shared printer selection, a telephone dialer, logging on and off the network, and sending one-line messages to other logged-on users or groups. It can be run as a 70k TSR or from the DOS command line. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #4921 -------------------------------- Advanced Menu System 1.5 Go Software ASP $50 #4409 is a menu system compatible with Novell's Menu files. It is designed for ease of use, with built in powerful features such as Automatic Application Scan, menu configuration, and menu option editor allowing line by line execution of menu options and on-line DOS help. It copies the look and feel of Novell utilities, but has improvements such as freeing up all memory when an application is run. Other features include a user audit trail; temporary file storage in a single directory; DR DOS support; optional restriction of user access to DOS, DOS Help, Editor, NDir and Scan Drive; and multiple parameter file support. AutoMan 1.1 Go Software $48 #4071 automates many network maintenance tasks. It can run selected programs at specified times, such as virus checking or report printing in the middle of the night. It can also monitor disk space and critical data recording PCs. BrainStorm Mustang Software, Inc. $149 #1564 is a Topic Orientated Message System designed for use on Local Area Networks. It is designed to facilitate group discussions on a network by allowing users to respond to any number of defined topics in an organized manner. Most E-MAIL Packages which come with a network allow user "A" to send a message to user "B", and perhaps send a carbon copy to user "C", "D" and "E". While this type of message management is ideal for individual communication, it falls short when the goal is to gather feedback from a group while keeping everyone abreast of the project status. Brainstorm provides a means to achieve the latter goal. For networks compatible with Novell 2.0a+, Banyan Vines 2.x+ and any network which supports DOS 3.x file and record locking or the Share command. ClassAdz dbF Software Productions ASP $50 #7807 allows network users to post, read, and print classified "want ads". System supervisors can set the password, remove users, purge by topic/user/date, change opening system message display, and much more. (This program is available ONLY on a 3.5" 1.44MB disk.) Einstein Electronic Mail Devont Software $199-$449 #7628/3988 [2 disks] is an electronic mail system for Novell Networks. It features an InBox, OutBox, and Wastebasket for mail messages. Other features include mail folders, telephone messaging, public and private rolodexes, a multi-user calendar, To-Do lists, cut and paste facilities, and much more. It can be run as a TSR, using only 18K of low DOS memory. Requires Netware 2.1+. FSLogin 1.2 08-93 CD Confirm ASP $135 #12362 is a full screen login utility for Novel networks. It enhances login to a server by providing a full-screen Novell style menu. It does extensive checking of accounting and security exceptions and reports to the user in a clear and understandable way. g-Forum Gary Beam Software $190 #2571 is a network messaging system. It may be installed on a single computer system for personal use or on a local area network file server for public message exchange among network users. Features include a message editor; last message tracking for each user; on-line help; menu driven interface; full administrator capabilities; and much more. Jim? Make-My-Day Software Pty Ltd $30-$50 #2474 is a NetBIOS, two-player version of the popular Star Trek type of computer game. It requires 256k and a NetBIOS compatible LAN. Any video will do. LAN Mail 1 Ed Ross Software $25 #7650/2617 is an electronic mail system for Local Area Networks where a shared disk is available. Send messages, files, and forms to a single user or to a distribution list of users. Create forms to send over the mail. Send any number of files to any number of users on the network with a single send. Nouveau Kelly, Richard A. $25/station #7650/2417 is a 7k+ pop-up E-Mail system designed to pass messages among the workstations on a small business's local area network. Up to 1000 unread messages can be maintained by the program before a user will need to purge old items from the files. Up to 200 workstations can be supported, and the program features word-wrap. Also included on this disk are the following programs: SignOut 1.3 ($50-$500) is a LAN-based equivalent of the sign-out board that many offices maintain for workers to fill in whenever they leave the office. The program will track up to 99 employees and display to anyone on the office's LAN a list of who's signed out, where they they gone, and when they will be back. It will also allow the person departing the office to leave detailed instructions on how to be reached, why and where the person has gone, etc. It will work with any DOS-based Local Area Network and uses 7k. It can also be accessed by up to 200 workstations. PHO/Net Nickerson, Ken $? #7650/0789 is a phone message system for a LAN or multi-user system, featuring full record-locking. The goal of the program is to rid the LAN office of paper-based phone messages. DEX/NET 1.3, on the same disk, is a rolodex/mail list system for a LAN or multi-user system. Rolodex cards or mailing labels can be printed on selected categories. TeleMessage Lindley, Dwight O. $40 #7650/1893 is a memory-resident, pop-up Telephone Message System designed for use on a Novell Network. It should also work just as well on other LANs. It may be used on a single machine to allow a receptionist or a secretary to take phone messages for others in the office. If using TeleMessage on a single machine, each person's messages may be printed out by the use of batch files. Requires DOS 3+ and a hard disk. It uses only 10k by swapping memory to EMS if available or to the hard disk if EMS is not available. res:10k LAN Sure! Zaron Software $95 #3003 is a security and monitoring program that works on networks as well as individual PCs. It provides security, unlimited job accounting, and the ability to record all file accesses, stop software theft and viruses, and monitor user efficiency. N Utilities Collins, Darwin $25 #7751/4315 [2 disks] is a set of 45 utilities that will ease the task of maintaining a Novell network. Areas covered include traffic, Lan documentation printer, maintenance, directory/file ownership, Netware 286 2.x, user/workstation and MHS. Sample batch/login scripts that illustrate some uses for the utilities are included. Pegasus Mail Harris, David $0 #4235 is a full-featured Email program for Novell NetWare. See Mail 1.4 Gnosis Inc. ASP $60 #7789/4473 [4 disks] is a comprehensive email management system that optionally merges with MCI mail. Features include support for groups, passwords, extensive message filing and archiving options, key word searching across folders, and a 29k TSR which will optionally transfer your MCI Mail in the background while you are running other programs. In addition to MCI Mail, it can handle CompuServe and GE mail. Other features include system integration for WordPerfect, dBase, Lotus 123 and other DOS business applications; support for voice mail; a personal calendar; and mail previewing with reply/forward mode and folder creation. Requires DOS 3+, 450K RAM, and either DOS Network, or Modem & MCI. The MNU Pfeifer, Mark $85/server #3154 is a menu system for Novell Netware. It maintains a central database of menu information in the bindery and uses existing Novell security information to dynamically determine each user's menu structure at runtime. A nice touch is that it looks and works like Novell Netware programs. MNU requires a Netware-knowledgeable user to install it. Notice Board 1.0 Cornerstone Software Ltd $65 #4727 (CM-04) is an office notice board for a network. It runs as part of the network log-in procedure so that notices are seen when users log in. You can browse through and add any number of notices. You decide the structure of the menus including the size, shape, color content of notices. Editing facilities are easy to use. You can also use the program as a network menu environment. Personal-E Mailbox 1.0 AmerCom, Inc. $29 #12203 is an electronic mail program which can be used on a voice line. The program detects voice calls and rings them through without the caller hearing modem noise. Modem callers can quickly leave and pick up email. The program will run as a TSR, so a dedicated PC is not required. ]]]]]
